UCD Foundation

UCD Foundation

UCD Foundation exists to support University College Dublin in the advancement of education, research and scholarship. Fundraising activity is focused on three priority areas:

1. Student support (including scholarships, mental health and other student services, and bursaries to support experiential learning opportunities such as internships and study abroad)

2. Groundbreaking research with societal impact

3. Capital projects for the development of world-class campus facilities

Their Impact

Funding raised through UCD Foundation supports approximately 150 new scholarships for UCD students each academic year. Many talented students face barriers to participation in higher education due to their social or economic circumstances, and the support of a scholarship can be life-changing.

Providing financial support to students who would otherwise be unable to afford a university education opens the door to academic achievement, personal development, and career success.

Students scholarships are a critical enabler of UCD’s commitment to creating a university community that celebrates diversity and provides an inclusive educational experience for all. They help to ensure that the UCD community better reflects wider society, and is enriched by the unique perspectives, ideas and experiences of each individual.
