Capital Development: TU Dublin’s new campus at Grangegorman in Dublin's north inner city is one of the largest-ever capital investments in higher education in Ireland. Philanthropy is playing a key role in delivering this state-of-the-art campus for 21st century education.
Supporting Excellence in Teaching and Research: supporting TU Dublin in its mission to be a culturally diverse and stimulating learning and research environment.
Enabling Participation at TU Dublin: working with our donors to support access to education, enabling students to achieve their dreams and deepening community engagement.
Their Impact
In spring 2023 the ‘GLAS at TU Dublin’ community garden officially opened at the Blanchardstown Campus. This garden provides a space for community groups, students, and local schools to grow fresh produce, reconnect with nature, and foster a stronger sense of community through growing together. This project is a collaborative effort between Fingal County Council, Global Action Plan Ireland, TU Dublin, and the local community.
Inspired by this successful model, a new community garden pilot project at the Grangegorman Campus took shape at the end of 2023. The Grangegorman Community Garden - a collaboration between TU Dublin, The Grangegorman Development Agency, D7 Educate Together National School, and corporate partners - was established to restore a purpose-designed, but recently neglected, growing space. With funding support from Workday and Hooke & MacDonald, this group is working to develop a suite of educational experiences around sustainable horticulture and aims to develop a sustainable collaborative governance model for a community garden, co-created and trialled by a multi-stakeholder group.
