The Ireland Funds
The Ireland Funds is a global philanthropic network supporting communities across the island of Ireland and funds organisations that improve lives and increase opportunities within its four funding pillars:
Education: Supporting educational initiatives and programmes that enhance access to quality education, increase outcomes, and promote lifelong learning.
Arts and Culture: Investing in the preservation and promotion of culture, heritage, artistic expression, and cultural institutions.
Community Development: Funding projects and organisations that strengthen communities including initiatives focused on health, wellbeing, belonging, and protecting the natural environment.
Peace and Reconciliation: Supporting efforts to promote peace, reconciliation, and resilience, fostering dialogue and understanding among communities.
Their Impact
In 2011, The Ireland Funds launched No Mind Left Behind, an initiative that gives promising young people the financial support to both enter and complete third-level education. It provides students with an annual scholarship for the duration of their undergraduate degree to cover the costs of books, accommodation and other key expenses.
To date, 413 Scholars have been supported from 50+ partner DEIS schools across 14 counties, with expansion into Northern Ireland happening in 2024.
