The strategic priorities of The Hospital Saturday Fund are as follows:
Supporting Health Charities and Medical Organisations:
Provide grants to registered health charities, hospices, and medical organisations.
Focus on funding medical projects, care, research, or medical training support.
Assisting Individuals with Medical Conditions or Disabilities:
Offer financial assistance for the purchase of specialised medical equipment.
Support practical forms of treatment for individuals in need.
Operating within the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, the Republic of Ireland, and Malta.
Their Impact
ChildVision is Ireland’s only dedicated centre for children with sight loss, some of whom also have profound sensory impairments and additional disabilities. They are the national resource for families and professionals needing export help in the area of visual impairment or visual impairments and/or additional disabilities.
They were awarded a grant of €7,367 towards purchasing equipment that will enable them to support their young and older readers to read, write, view photographs, and have independent access to information. Children of all years attending their Reading and Education Services will benefit enormously from this vital equipment, they are committed to making their journey comfortable whiles empowering them to live independently and happy lives, by providing medical care and visual aids.
