Irish Sailing Foundation
At the heart of the Irish Sailing Foundation is a clear ambition: to ensure that every talented young Irish sailor has an equal opportunity to fulfil their potential, regardless of circumstance or financial means. We raise funds to support and grow the Irish Sailing Pathway Programme — developing talented young sailors and enabling them to compete on the world stage. We are passionate about holistic development: the skills, resilience and confidence built through the Programme extend far beyond sailing and last a lifetime. Our vision is that every ambitious young Irish sailor can access the Pathway, regardless of circumstance.
Their Impact
The Irish Sailing Foundation supports the Irish Sailing Pathway Programme from the earliest stages of talent development - nurturing sailors from age 12 all the way through to Olympians and future Olympic hopefuls. In 2025-26 to date, senior Irish Sailing athletes have claimed 13 medals. The cohort that won 30 youth medals in 2022–23 are the same athletes delivering those senior results today. Representing all corners of the island, these sailors have been able to focus on their campaigns because the Foundation’s support has made a critical difference. The Pathway develops not only Irish sailors representing their country, but the coaches, ambassadors and champions who will grow Irish sailing for the next generation.
