Genio

Genio

Genio is a European organisation based in Ireland working with philanthropy and government at national and EU levels. Our expertise is in supporting social services to solve complex problems and scale social innovations. We do this by helping to bring stakeholders together to navigate the pathway through the challenges of system reform; and to help implement and scale more personalised, community-based and cost-effective social services.

Their Impact

The Service Reform Fund (SRF) is an ambitious national programme of change which is currently helping to expand and sustain social innovation in disability, mental health and homelessness. The Service Reform Fund (SRF) has been created by the Department of Health; the Department of Housing, Planning, and Local Government; the Health Service Executive Ireland (HSE); the Dublin Region Homeless Executive; Local Authorities; and the Atlantic Philanthropies, in collaboration with Genio, to implement service reform in Ireland in mental health, disability and homelessness.

The SRF represents a total combined investment of €45m by the Departments and Atlantic to re-configure existing services towards more person-centred supports, which are cost-effective and in line with government policy. The SRF action research programme along with extensive training are also helping to create a fundamental shift in mindset and work culture that has the potential to impact future generations to come.
