Since the year 2000 supporting communities, researchers and experts to promote equality. Together with our donors and partners we have boosted rights for children, women and migrants as well as the LGBTI+ and Traveller communities. Changed attitudes and laws on sexual and gender based violence. Provided leadership to support over 200 communities to take biodiversity action and scores more to take climate action.

As a philanthropic hub, Community Foundation Ireland, supports projects which are pioneering, ground-breaking and often have limited or no other funding source. Our connectivity to communities gives us insights, evidence and an ability to identify emerging challenges before others and to develop responses. The work we support is often pioneering, sometimes brave but always strategic with a longer term view. Since the year 2000 we have grown €1M in Government seed funding into more than €130M in grants for communities and an endowment fund of €50M.
