The National Policy on Philanthropy

National Philanthropy Policy Launch 61.jpg

Ireland's First National Philanthropy Policy

Philanthropy Ireland has advocated for a National Policy for many years to support the philanthropy community, stimulate further philanthropy, and promote the impact philanthropy is having in communities across Ireland.

Philanthropy Ireland has linked closely with the Department of Rural and Community Development in creating the Policy, through extensive research and consultative process. The Policy was formally launched in December 2023. The Policy has 5 objectives to support the philanthropy community. Each of these objectives has a working group made up of philanthropy stakeholders to action the objectives in the policy. An overarching Implementation and Monitoring Group will report on progress.

Philanthropy Ireland is represented on all of the 5 working groups and we regularly report updates. Subscribe to our Newsletter to receive updates on the progress of the policy.
