Session 1: Philanthropy – setting the scene
Speaker: Seamus Mulconry, CEO, Philanthropy Ireland
Presentation Outline: Seamus Mulconry will give an overview on the role of Philanthropy Ireland and its members; the progress that has been made on promoting strategic giving among private donors; and on how charities can engage more effectively with Trusts and Foundations.
14.30pm Session 2: The Charity Perspective – how to build effective relationships
Speakers: Michael Barron, CEO, BeLonG To Youth Services & Paul Rowe, CEO at Educate Together
Presentation Outline: This session will give an overview from the grantees perspective and outline how relationships are developed with key donors; how they are maintained and how the grantee charities ensure that they effectively report and engage with their strategic donors.

15.50pm Session 3: The Funders Perspective – An overview of effective engagement with Trusts and Foundations in Ireland & panel discussion.
Speakers: Vicky Brown, Portfolio Manager at The One Foundation; James Foley Fund Administrator at Electric Aid; Caitriona Fottrell, Director at The Ireland Funds and Mark Keane, Strategy Executive at Atlantic Philanthropies.
Presentation Outline: Each of the panel will make a short 10-minute presentation on their funding strategies; their views on the partnerships they have formed; what makes for a good relationship between donor and grantee and the key challenges that donors face when working with charities. Mary O’Kennedy, Fundraising Ireland, will chair this session and panel discussion.
